History: My first proper bike! I remember buying this with my dad when I was seven - I think it cost £45 and was third hand. I got 5 years out of it though, and was able to sell it on for about the same after that. I did my first long ride on this bike - the local 3 Counties 50 mile charity ride. I recall tying my jumper round the saddle to make it more comfortable! When I went to secondary school I used it to ride the 2.5 miles each way for two years until I outgrew it. I used to have a stick wedged in the chainstay bridge for hooking the chain back on when it fell off (fairly regularly!). Purpose: Hey, I was just a kid! Just for tooling around on.....  |
