Miles and miles and miles; base training time once again


Well, after last year's sojourn in Lanzarote yielded such a stellar season, I've increased my planned
training a bit for this winter, with the hope of improving further. This time I will have the advantage
of not working full time, and hopefully will have decent enough conditions in New Zealand, where I
will be until April. I will have one major-ish race outing during this period, with the Karapoti on the
18th February, and so have allowed for this within the plan. Otherwise it's the same build and
recover programme that I have followed successfully before. So we'll see......

* Fell at the first hurdle; picked up a bad cold though, so can't be helped.
* Freezing rain; couldn't safely go out, whadda ya gonna do?
* blah blah... weather... blah... delayed flight... blah... christmas... blah... girls... blah... excuses excuses.....
* Did a 75km MTB race, so less volume but greater intensity! (came 3rd btw)
