Pretty quiet day today. Suffering from jet lag I was up early and tookBike Friday for a spin. The desert is very beautiful in the morning as the sun pops over the mountains. People gradually started arriving. We gave Mango a quick polish and then headed over to the airport to do a few test launches, without the lid, to check the trolley was working and to gain a little confidence. Took a nap in the afternoon and awoke to find a crowd around the van trying to see the bike, so pulled it out to be admired. People find it hard to believe I fit in there, and there were lots of positive comments from folk who know what they are talking about, which are good to hear. No qualifiers tomorrow, so we should get on the main course in the evening and see how she goes...... More later..... |
